Ashleigh King Physiotherapist (Women’s Health and Pilates)

Ashleigh is a compassionate and dedicated Physiotherapist who has a special interest in both women’s health and sports/musculoskeletal physiotherapy. While Ashleigh’s initial interest in physiotherapy stemmed from a passion for sports, her personal experiences with women’s health conditions, pregnancy, and postpartum recovery inspired her to expand her focus. She is motivated to be a part of a change in healthcare where women are listened to, empowered and educated.

She now has a passion for combining both areas to provide a holistic approach to her treatment, helping women overcome challenges and live active and healthy lifestyles. She particularly enjoys helping women stay active during pregnancy and then be able to return to safely to exercise postpartum and beyond.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy and a Master’s Degree in High Performance Sport, with over 5 years experience working as an exercise scientist, and strength and conditioning coach. Since then, she has been consistently upskilling in Women’s Health Physiotherapy and always follows an up to date, evidence based approach to her treatment.

Outside of physiotherapy, Ashleigh enjoys staying active through running, strength training, and Pilates. She also cherishes time with her young son, Harry, and husband, James. Together, they love cooking, visiting the beach, and playing and watching sports.
